Who is using GPS to track?

What is it?
GPS monitoring system including the device installed in the car, the main server and software to the owner of the information.
GPS to monitor all use of data from the U. S. Government's Constellation of Global Positioning System satellites to determine vehicle location, speed and direction of travel.
Monitoring device transmits data from GPS satellites overhead to the central computer or server via satellite communication or, more often, through cellular phone network of local respiration. Car data is updated every 2-15 minutes, depending on the owner and the manufacturer's preference settings.
Making the data center servers are available to monitor the system owner through the Internet. Record company owners secure web server and view their vehicle data on maps and in its original form. Some companies do follow up data available for download, so the owner can file on their computers.
