Network fast convergence

What is meant by fast convergence?
When we use the word install we are talking about something specfied in measuring the relative time units. Here are words to describe the fast convergence time, which is required when all the routers in the network by using flooding and topology information. With the rapid convergence because we usually sub-second convergence time.
Why do we need a level of convergence? t of standard routing protocols TIMERS okay?
On this day the network, broadband network interface speed is increasing rapidly and the public to see the relationship between the two 10 Gbit / network equipment, especially in the service provider. Think of failure as the root only two seconds to think how much information will be lost during the failure before it fully converged network.
The default routing protocol can work well in networks that do not require TIMERS convergence rate as low speed and broadband-speed interface.
So, How do we achieve such level of convergence?
Right there full portfolio of features and technologies in modern routers are created primarily to increase the speed of convergence. Network designers you need to familiarize themselves with this technology and its impact to use it properly and keep your network strong. In general, this technology addresses one of the following areas:
- Physical layer: Failure detection speed.
- Routing protocol: incident reporting, accounting other rate table.
- Forwarding: how fast the engine can cope with further changes and modify the topology table.
Some of these features are:
- Fast hello for OSPF and IS-IS.
- Bidirectional failure detection (BFD).
- NSF with SSO or graceful restart.
- Partial and incremental SPF calculations.
