An agreement has been prepared between the owner of Orange, France Telecom and T-Mobile UK leader, Deutsche Telekom merger is expected to take 37% of mobile market in the UK. This will supply the dwarves managed by Telefonica O2 who now enjoy 27% share of the UK mobile phone networks.
Move will be officially signed and sealed in November, the duo promises significant benefits to bring UK customer. And more than 28 million subscribers using the combined services, it will be important that they provide quality better network and improve services to address client needs.
This appears to be a positive step for Deutsche Telekom, who previously admitted that the struggle to win customers in the UK mobile market. Meanwhile, France Telecom would see this as an opportunity to strengthen the market position in Britain itself without a large debt that they expose.
It was difficult for all of Orange and T-Mobile to compete in the market and enjoy a two O2 and Vodafone in-demand phones such as exclusivity for the iPhone and Blackberry Storm. However, this step should be encouraged to compete with the merged company and the capacity for its users.
However, has decided that both Orange and T-Mobile brand will remain separate during the first 18 months when the re-branding is reviewed.
